PREVENTION OF PALLET PUSH-THROUGH!

There are several advantages to using Heavy Duty Shelving for storage. They're versatile, efficient, durable, and convenient, but it's important to make sure you use them safely.

Putting inventory too far back on a pallet rack creates a safety risk Inventory can fall off the back of the rack, landing in the aisle. You shouldn't have to be told how dangerous that can be.

It is not uncommon for companies to experience accidents when a pallet or product is accidentally pushed out of the rack during the put-away process. Order pickers and forklifts often lack overhead safety covers, which can pose a serious threat to employee safety. Such risks must be eliminated as soon as possible.

Identifying potential failure points in the rack system that could cause pallets or products to push through the rack and into an adjacent aisle is the goal of pallet push-through prevention programs. After identifying these safety risks, a plan is designed to eliminate them.

This is in an effort to help create safer work environments and join a national initiative to prevent pallet-push-through accidents. Listed below are some products to help prevent accidents with your pallet racks.

Pallet Safety Stops from Worlds top allow inventory to be stopped strategically and prevent it from moving away from the safety point. You can also keep a safe flue space with them because they prevent inventory from falling off and causing an accident.

In addition to providing a pallet stop, the 12′′ double stop provides 6′′ of flue space on each side of the rack for back-to-back rows. A professional installation crew can do this in-house or outside. It may be the easiest installation option of all the options available.

The racks are easy to install and can be used on both back-to-back racks and single-row applications. With its heavy-duty finish, it's a durable option with little to no maintenance required. Available in single, double, or back-to-back rows.

Pallet Load Stop Beams are attached to the back of racks and run in parallel with each other. Additionally, pallet load stop beams provide a stopping point to prevent pallets from sliding too far back. They allow for a 3′′ pallet overhang, so pallets are kept in a safe position.

It allows the Heavy Duty Storage Shelving to be overhung by 3 inches with the front teardrop holes offset by 3 inches, 4 inches, or 6 inches. Almost no hardware is required for teardrop beam installation. They are secured in place by piston-style auto locks.

We can't provide a one-size-fits-all solution, so make sure you tell us the original manufacturer of your rack. We offer teardrop end plates that are easy to install, even though they are not compatible with every rack. This helps keep beams fastened to uprights despite the fact that they do not fit every rack.

You can enclose the entire back of your rack with wire rack guards in order to prevent the product from falling into the aisle. This is a cheap and easy way to prevent inventory or pallets from falling, but you could also leave sections open. It is a versatile and flexible way to keep your inventory and pallets safe.

Installation is quick and easy, so you won't lose precious time or money. And the wire mesh design makes it easy to see inventory when you install them in single rows. It's a great way to get incredible visibility without sacrificing security. It's also an excellent way to protect from earthquakes.

In addition to nylon netting, you can also attach nylon netting to the back of your pallet rack. This is an inexpensive solution that can be installed in two ways. When it comes to installing your router, you have two choices: flush mount installation, which doesn't require an overhang and offset installation, which allows up to 3 inches of overhang.

There are two types of pallet rack safety netting: single rows or double/back-to-back rows. The offset netting is for pallet overhang or it can attach flush to the back of the rack. It is not the netting that is cost-prohibitive but the installation of the netting that is. Let's say that it can be a difficult task, especially if they are stacked back-to-back. If this option is selected, the entire aisle may be shut down for a longer period of time during installation. The use of cables to increase rigidity has been associated with a number of issues.

In the case of mount installation, they are securely attached with nylon tie wraps, while for offset installation, they are connected with cables and brackets.

Another great option is pallet straps, also known as safety straps. These are secured to the back of the rack and keep inventory safe. Installation is quick and easy. The good thing about this solution is that it is not only easy to remove when necessary but it also does the job well.

You can attach the polyester straps to the existing teardrop holes in your Warehouse Racking bays. They are very strong and capable of withstanding 2400 lbs. Each strap has a capacity. Depending on your preference, you can use one, two, or three straps per bay. Put the strap near the bottom of the bay so that the pallet makes contact with it.
